How to Store Garden Cushions for Winter: A Size and Storage Checklist

Putting garden cushions away for the colder months? Start with a dry storage space and check the size of your cushion stack before choosing a bag.

1. Let cushions dry completely

Follow the care label when cleaning your cushions. Allow both the covers and the filling to dry fully before packing them away. A storage bag is for organising your cushions; it does not make a damp shed or garage dry.

2. Measure the whole stack

Measure the length, width and height of the cushions you want to store together. Leave room to close the zip without forcing it. Check the bag dimensions rather than relying on a description such as “extra large”.

3. Choose a sheltered storage location

Use a dry shed, garage or other sheltered area. Avoid sharp tools, exposed metal edges and places where water collects. Do not assume a lightweight bag can be left outside in heavy rain.

4. Consider an extra-large foldable bag

Our Extra-Large Garden Cushion Storage Bag measures 173 × 76 × 51cm and is made from black 210D polyester. It has a zipped opening, carry handles and folds flat when empty. Check the dimensions against your own cushions; cushions and display accessories are not included.

The bag costs £12.49. An order containing only this item under our general UK delivery profile costs £17.48 including £4.99 Standard delivery. Final services and charges depend on your address and are confirmed at checkout. Mixed-supplier baskets may have separate charges.
